Neumann U89i Studio Microphone

The U89i studio microphone is for universal applications. The head grille protects a dual-diaphragm capsule. With a rotary switch below the head grille, you can select from five different polar patterns. This allowing the microphone to adapt easily to large sound sources, wide apart sound sources, and sound sources recorded at a greater distance.

The amplifier accepts sound pressure levels up to 134dB with out distortion. This figure can be increased to 140dB. An additional rotary switch activates a filter that changes the low frequency response either below 80Hz or 160Hz frequency.
